The Portraits of Individuals Photograph Collection contains formal and informal portraits of individuals primarily associated with the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. Included are portraits of physicians, nurses, administrators, allied health professionals, support staff, students, and others.
In addition to individuals directly affiliated with Johns Hopkins, the collection also encompasses figures who are otherwise relevant to Johns Hopkins history, or medical history in general.
