The Samuel James Crowe Collection documents his career at Johns Hopkins. Series include biographical materials, correspondence, notes from experiments, miscellaneous ENT papers, and reprints. Of note is a notebook that Crowe kept while in Germany during the summer of 1905. Patient photographs and related materials are primarily concerned with physical deformities. An additional photographs series includes group photos and portraits of colleagues, primarily in Otolaryngology. Artifacts include medical instruments, Catheters, including nine sterling silver eustachian catheters, used and modified by Samuel Crowe, as well as awards and personal items such as his pocket watch.
