6 May 1880 - 8 August 1955
Jane Evans Nash received her nurses' diploma from Bellevue Hospital in New York City in 1903. She worked as a private duty nurse in New York and became the Matron of Bellevue Hospital in 1906. She served as superintendent of the Latter Day Saints' Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah beginning in 1908 and returned to Bellevue in 1910 for social work. By 1911 she became superintendent of the Fordham Hospital in New York before coming to Baltimore. She acted as superintendent of the Church Home and Hospital School of Nursing from 1912 to 1950. During this time she was active in developing a graduate nurses' registry, and guided the school through construction and transistion projects. She also served as president of the Maryland State Nurses Association for eight years.

Scope and Content
The Jane Evans Nash Collection consists of her leather folder, a twenty-fifth anniversary guest book, letters, a poem written for her, and a signed portrait from Thomas Cullen.
