Records of Johns Hopkins Hospital Training School for Nurses document the founding, governance, and leadership of the school from its inception to its closure in 1973. Preserved are the basic administrative documents such as minutes of the Advisory Board, faculty minutes, committee minutes and reports, and items from the Superintendent/Director's office. There are records pertaining to nursing service, education, and student life. The largest part of the collection contains student records from the classes of 1891 through 1973 and student related material such as course outlines and class standings. Records also document school publications and its relationships to other nursing schools and organizations.
