The Samuel P. Asper Collection spans much of his career at Johns Hopkins, with a concentration on his administrative activities. Series include correspondence, administrative records, essays, speeches, and scientific notes. Much of the correspondence pertains to student admissions and the hospital's house staff. There is also material relating to Asper's exchange professorship at Guy's Hospital Medical School in London, including notes on British medicine and an evaluation of his stay at the medical school. A blueprint for the Blalock 10 office/study in the department of medicine is also included.
